Goodbye Summer ):
The Smoothie Queens
Summer's over ): Well it's been over for a few weeks now, but its hard to get used to wearing a jacket. I hate the cold weather! School started over a month ago and I've had a ton of work to do already. 7th grade is tough! I love almost all of my teachers and they're all relatively young. Unfortuneately, I have to share a locker. I was worried about that before school started. Thankfully, my homeroom got to choose! I'm sharing with one of my best friends, Mackenzie! I'm glad about that because then my locker "room-mate" would get all pissed off because I completely fill my locker with pictures! But this way, Mack's in most of them.
Recently, I went to New York, and had a really good time. The weather wasn't that great in the beginning, but that's okay since I would be inside most of the time. I was there for the Broadway Flea Market, which was PACKED! I met so many people and it was really exciting. A big disappointment was Alice Ripley. I was right about to get autographs from her and she had to leave the autograph table a little early because she had to do a show. I atleast got to quickly meet her, but only for her to apoligize that she couldn't stay. But it was alright since I got to talk to so many great people like Anthony Rapp and SJB! After the flea market, I went to the Bye Bye Birdie stage door. I was so excited that pretty much everyone came out! I went there pretty much just for Allie Trimm, who was so nice! I gave her a birthday gift and introduced myself (from my website, http://allietrimm.org). She hugged me and talked to me and I felt so great! And of course, John Stamos was amazing! I could barely speak when he came up to me. My mom did more talking than I did! I got a picture with him and nearly fainted when he put his arm around me.
I should set some kind of reminder for me because I SUCK at updating!

The Time Traveler's Wife Review (very short!)
The Smoothie Queens
So yesterday, I saw the Time Traveler's Wife. It was great and I love a lot of Rachel's movies (like The Notebook and Mean Girls). I was sitting in scared to death because I had no clue when Henry was gonna die because at on part of the movie he just flew out bleeding (he was shot). And he thought he was going to die when his daughter was 5. Also, it was really sad because Claire kept losing the baby everytime she got pregnant. Very suspenseful parts! But it was such a good movie and the ending was amazing. Go see the Time Traveler's Wife!!

Understudies
The Smoothie Queens
I suck at updating. Thank god I have Mia to remind me or this blog would be dead :]
It's pretty surprising that when I see shows, there usually isn't any understudies performing. But last month at Shrek Christopher Sieber wasn't there and I saw Greg Reuter as his u/s. I really couldn't tell the difference, I mean he did so good. His voice was so much like Christopher Sieber's and he looked a lot like him from where I was sitting.
I didn't get to update about this, but earlier this month I did a show. It's for a performing arts workshop that I do every summer, so it isn't really a play or anything. I usually perform a few voice numbers and some acting pieces. We did two extremely exhausting shows, and a million rehearsals the same days. Tiring, but FUN!

SMOOTHIE!
The Smoothie Queens
A mango smoothie from Panera Bread. It was my first time eating there, and they were out of their signature bread bowls. How depressing.

Irony
The Smoothie Queens
I find it ironic that during the Summer, the most fun and exciting time of the year, Laura and I both neglect our lovely blog. I'm sure once school starts (The three words I hate the most: Back to school!), we'll just have TONS to talk about.
SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS!
And no,I don't just mean the red highlights in my hair.
June:
Second-Annual Summer Musical Revue @ my school, June 20th
Start of Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program, or CTY, Sunday, June 28th
Dance class during weeknights, except when I was at CTY
July:
CTY until Friday, July 17th
Harry Potter movie!
Vacation in Lake George, New York
Dance class during weeknights, except when I was at CTY
August:
Dance camp! First week--just ended! :(
Dance class during weeknights
Who knows now what the rest of the Summer will bring? ;)
Au revoir,
-Mia =)

Understudy Reviews
The Smoothie Queens
I went back and saw Spring Awakening AGAIN last night. Yes, the show was still beautiful, powerful, and electrifying, to say the least, but right now, I'm just going to give you the reviews of the understudies I saw.
Julie Benko as Wendla: Her voice is sugary sweet. It fits the character--Wendla is supposed to be fourteen. Her acting was good. Her singing was good, and her higher soprano parts were clear sounding and pure and pretty much great (i.e. 'The Word Of Your Body', etc...). There were a few moments where I wished she delivered the lines differently, but...if I hadn't seen Christy Altomare go on last week, I would've absolutely loved Julie. But as an understudy, yes, she did very well.
Krystina Alabado as Anna: Well, as much as I totally loved Gabby Garza's performance as Anna, Krystina did a great job! My Mom didn't really like her all that much, but I thought she did well. It was just weird, in my opinion, to see Anna in a green dress, when everyone's used to seeing Anna in a red dress. You could really hear Krystina's voice in 'Mama Who Bore Me (Reprise)', and she did a cool little riff (or something close to a riff) in 'My Junk' that I thought was so pretty and cool, and naturally I forgot what it was three minutes later.
Lucas A. Wells as Hanschen: No. I mean, if I didn't see Andy Mientus (sp?) go on, I would probably think Lucas did okay, but even then, he wouldn't be my favorite. For example: Andy was extremely into 'B*tch Of Living'. He rocked out the most. If you looked at Lucas, you could tell that he was the understudy because he wasn't moving nearly as much as the other boys. And he just didn't deliver the lines the way Andy did, and that was also the way I've heard Broadway Hanschens say them. In 'The Word Of Your Body (Reprise)', the first time he sang "body", he cracked so much that my Mom and I looked at each other and sighed. So no, he wasn't too, too terrible, but he didn't really do it for me.
Laura, let's hear about your understudy experiences. Broadway, national tour, regional theatre--do tell!!
Other undertudies that were good/great: Beth Curry (for Nikki Snelson) as Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde, Jay Armstrong Johnson (for David Hull), as Mark in the national tour of A Chorus Line.
Undertudies that were bad/totally sucked: Jim Walton (for Tituss Bergess [sp?]) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys And Dolls.

Spring Awakening
Wow
I can't even describe it
It's like it never even happened
Full review on my BroadwaySpace
Even that only skims the surface
I worshipped the stars, so seeing them was crazy
It was all very surreal
I won't ever forget

Weeee!!
The Smoothie Queens
The Tony Awards was amazing. I was disappointed that Sutton didn't win, but I was really happy that Alice won for Next to Normal. Next to Normal's performance was amazing, and so that show is now on my Must-See list.
Let me know how SA is! I really wish I could see it. The show is coming my way pretty soon but I'm not allowed to see it. Psshhh....

Widgets And Tours And Notebooks (OH MY!)
The Smoothie Queens
Hey, Laura, are you on Summer break yet?
So, the Guys And Dolls widget on the side here is going to be removed in a little while, because Guys And Dolls is closing on Sunday. I love the widgets because we get to rock out to Next To Normal and stare at our cute little Daily Puppy, et cetera! I cannot find any other widgets--some musical websites are NOT helpful.
I see the national tour of Spring Awakening tomorrow, and I AM SO EXCITED. Oh my God. It's such an amazing show with such an awesome score and such a powerful message. I've totally been waiting for tomorrow for months!
I have my little green notebook sitting next to me, because writing this blog entry is me avoiding what I SHOULD be doing--continuing what I'm writing dutifully because I promised myself I'd finish it over the Summer. It's not just another crappy short-story--it's this musical I've been 'writing' since I was...twelve? I don't know. Not very long.
Okay, bye!! =)

Drumroll, please...THE TONY AWARDS!!!!!
The Smoothie Queens
My God, what was up with the sound?! When Guys And Dolls performed, some guy was like, "Do I go on with it [the mic]? Okay, I'm going!". Ugh, poor Tituss Bergess! Oh, and I feel terrible for Josefina Scaglione, because not only could you hear her warming up in the wings before West Side Story went on, but the poor girl cracked during 'Tonight' before she kissed Matt Cavenaugh for four hours. She has such a gorgeous voice, ugh, it really made me feel bad for her when she cracked!
On to...the awards! When Next To Normal won best score, I was on cloud nine! It has the best score I've heard in a while (probably since last year's best musical winner, but I still see why Billy Elliot won), and that performance last night...so, so powerful! Mad props to Alice Ripley, even though we all knew she'd win. It must be very emotionally draining to play Diana eight times a week. I was so ecstatic when Karen Olivo won best featured actress, oh my God! I thought for sure they'd give to Hadyn, since Billy Elliot is a phenonmonenenen (I can't spell!). I filmed it, and a lot of other stuff, too, but there was some slight commentary from my Mom and I, so...
Neil Patrick Harris is love. Enough said.

Hmm...
The Smoothie Queens
Nicole Parker is leaving Wicked soon. I'm thinking of going back to meet her one last time. I was thinking of making her a little gift. But what would it be? I was thinking of a necklace with a pic of her as Elphie on one side, and a pic of me and her on the other. If I don't make a gift, I'm going to ask her to do a quick little video for me of her "You Didn't Ask" sketch from MADtv because my friends and I watch it nonstop. Or maybe the "Hockey Mom" thing from her Sarah Palin sketch.
Any suggestions of gifts? Shoot me a message on youtube. (...I hope I get to see her again. Or else this post would be completely pointless. haha. But it would...)

Me Crazy!
The Smoothie Queens
You're going to think I'm crazy, Mia! Today, my friend and I were making "You're Not Invited" invitations. But we decided to change "not" into "naw". Then we ran around the room throwing them at people. One of our other friends had her head laying out on the desk, so we were like, "Is she dead?" I threw the You're Naw Invited invitations at her. That woke her up!

Tony Awards...and stuff...
The Smoothie Queens
Lol I know, but I still wish it could :( lol im so whiny.
I am really rooting for Shrek, and I think it'll win at least one or 8 Tony's. The actors probably will but I doubt the show will. I mean I love the show and everything, but the audience is really directed to children.

Snooty
The Smoothie Queens
Laura, honey, you know how some theatre-people are snooty? Well, I'm gonna be snooty with you. =)
Wicked has been around for FIVE YEARS. It was eligable for the Tony Awards in 2004. It lost best musical to Avenue Q (How that happened, I have no idea...), and Idina Menzel won best actress (well-deserved!).

I'm sad. I was unable to do 7FunGirls because my camera broke. I have no clue how long it'll be broken. But I hope it works so then I can continue being Wednesday.

The Smoothie Queens
...I'm talking about the Tony Awards ;)...
Here are some random things:
Best Musical: Either Billy Elliot or Next To Normal
Best Revival (musical): Hair
Best Score: Next To Normal
Best Book: ???? I DON'T KNOW!!!
Best actor/musical: The three Billy's in Billy Elliot
Best actress/musical: Alice Ripley in Next To Normal (of course!!)
Featured actor/musical: Will Swenson in Hair
Featured actress/musical: Karen Olivo in West Side Story (I wouldn't be surprised if they gave it to Hadyn Gwyn for Billy Elliot, either)
Scenic design/musical: HAS to be Guys And Dolls! The set was O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G! Seriously, set doesn't usually strike me as cool, important, etc...the graphics and signs brought the set to life!

AHHH! Wicked was amazing! You were right, Mia - magical theater experience! Nicole Parker and Alli Mauzey did great and the were so funny!! They are definately at the top of my list for favorite bway actresses. SD - Met Nicole!! She was still a little green when she cam out. She was so sweet. Signed her name plus, wrote it "to Laura".

The Tony Nominations!!
The Smoothie Queens
The Tony Award nominationscame out Tuesday. I'm not gonna go through everything, but best musical noms were Rock Of Ages, Next To Normal, Billy Elliot, and Shrek. Best revival noms were obviously all the revivals: Hair, Pal Joey, Guys And Dolls, and West Side Story. Obviously, a LOT more; go to www.tonyawards.com (I screwed up posting the actor/actress thing, so...). Laura, GIVE US A WICKED REVIEW! =)
Bold = Mia indicates a winner; then again, it's just Mia.

I LOVE the new colors to our blog! But my question is: How did you change them?

It feels like its been forever since I last blogged. This weekend I'm seeing Wicked! YAY. So I haven't really been doing much, just YouTubin'. Yesterday I got the program Jasc Animation Shop 3. It's hard but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Kinda. Not really. But I will. And once I get a few perfect ones, I'll put links on here so you can view them :)

OC + Sleepover!!!!
The Smoothie Queens
I'm seeing it in the new production in Sweden.
...kidding. =)
I LOVE Ocean City!! Wait...which one did you go to, OCNJ or OCMD?
Last night, I slept over at my friend Lauren's house for her birthday. Rachel, Lauren, and I devised a plan to stay up 'til 3AM to watch some show Rachel wanted to see...so, at two o'clock, we decided to go chug whipped cream from the can! After passing it around a few times, we TRIED to put it on Lauren's little brother's friend's hand...epic fail, thanks to the dog (lol). The cat kept sneaking in and out of Lauren's bedroom, so every five minutes it was "Turn off the light! Pretend to be alseep!". We YouTube searched, read Seventeen and TeenVogue magazines, did about a hundred Madlibs...we ended up staying up until 4 (I got three hours of sleep...fun!), but we never watched Rachel's show, rofl. Tidbit: Lauren's room was hotter than it was outside, so we were always sneaking down to get Aquapods...soooo not a weather experience I wish to relive.

The Smoothie Queens
Laura: I definately think Sutton will get nominated, but...chances are Alice Ripley will get the award, lol. If Sutton does win, it will be her fourth nomination and her second win, 'cause she's just that awesome!
I really think that Brian D'Arcy James will get a leading actor nominated for Shrek, and if they don't nominate Oliver Platt for supporting actor for Guys And Dolls, I will kill them, because he was just F-A-N-T-A-B-U-L-O-U-S; totally carried the show (He needs that Tony!! lol).
Laura in Atlantic City...Laura the gambler...*wink wink*...
In other news...Laura, guess what I'm doing June 11?
CUCKAHH!

What a Week!
The Smoothie Queens
I'm going to give a little review of what I did the past week:
Monday, NYC:
We just went for the day but it was a lot of fun. I had lunch at a little pasta place on a pretty quiet street so there weren't many people there. The food was good, but big and I couldn't eat it all!! I just walked around to all the theaters and Broadway shops. When I went to the Shrek theater, Zac Efron was coming out across from there so we waited a while and got to see him so that was really cool.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Atlantic City:
I wentfor a few days with my friend and her family. The most fun part of it was the shopping. We went to a lot of little shops and many designer stores. I was walking w/ my friend and the minute I saw a Tiffany's, I went storming over there. The poeple who worked there were nice and I found out that one of them was from where I live. On the boardwalk, my friend and I were acting so crazy. To everyone we saw, we went, "Cuckaahh!!" It was hilarious.
Sunday, the Movies:
My friend and I saw 17 Again. It was so funny and had a really great story. A few parts of it were a little sad and a little awkward but it was really a great movie.
Mia-I want Sutton to win a Tony!!!! lol

Not Much To Blog About...(That's A Lie; I Blogged About Tony Award 2009 Predictions)
The Smoothie Queens
...It's not that I have limited Internet time, it's that I just don't know what to say. My Dad is in the hospital (Five-way bypass surgery), and so is my cousin (Cracked rib and concussion after falling off her bike), and the phone keeps ringing, and it's driving me crazy!! lol
Sooo...in theatrical news...Next To Normal opened on Broadway last night. That's pretty exciting; I think the big best musical 2009 Tony toss-up is gonna be between Next To Normal and Billy Elliot.
Let's talk about the Tony's! Well, for new musicals, we've got Billy Elliot, 9 to 5, Next To Normal, Rock Of Ages, and Shrek, so one of 'em's not gonna be a nod (I personally think it's gonna be either Shrek or Rock Of Ages that doesn't get nominated.). It's pretty evident that Hair is gonna get the best musical revival, because West Side Story and Guys And Dolls both are getting some good reviews and some bad reviews, and Hair's reviews are pretty much stellar...personal opinion. You know what's gonna be tough? Leading actresses! Kate Jennings Grant should totally get a nod for Guys And Dolls, because when I saw it, she was just fabulous, and I also think Sutton Foster is gonna get nominated for Shrek, but frankly, I think the award will go to Alice Ripley (sp?) for Next To Normal.
Well, folks, that's-a it for meh today. Next blog, I'll go into my opinions on supporting actresses and leading and supporting actors, but RIGHT NOW I AM SO FRICKIN' EXHAUSTED, so...

Stupid Computer, Spring Break
The Smoothie Queens
Has it been a while since I posted a blog? Yes. And I will tell you why - my stupid computer was practically broken. For a few days my internet wasn't working and now its just really slow.
Mia-I NEED that Rent lip gloss!!! lol
So 'm on spring break and loving it. I've been doing a lot of shopping for Easter and stuff and my mombout to buy these really nice COACH sneakers for me. When I was trying them on, they were a little too tight and I was pissed off because the only other size was 11 and I'm either a 5 or 6 and the 5's were to small. Grrrr...

Lip Gloss In The Style Of RENT and Grease
The Smoothie Queens
Bahahaha. So, a few months ago, I went shopping at Sephora with my Mom. I came out with some Tarte lip gloss (And if I can ever figure out whether or not they test on animals, the world will be a better place. Honestly, if they do test on animals, then I will not use it anymore!! lol)entitled "Sandy & Danny." It was lip gloss named after characters from Grease! It was awesome! The Danny lip gloss was bright red, and the Sandy lipgloss was sparkly pink (I still have it, and wear it all the time, lol!!). =)
Soooo...today I went back to Sephora with my Mom and searched through all the Tarte lip glosses until I could find another Broadway show-esque lip gloss. And I did: the Roger and Mimi lip gloss! Seriously, the writing on the box is so cheesy (Going out tonight? Light his candle with a shine, etc., and you'll have 525,600 minutes of love {eww}), but it's still so wacky and AWESOME! The Roger gloss (MAN GLOSS, as we call it in show-biz when the boys won't use it 'cause they're afraid of being made fun of!! But seriously, it is gloss made for female lips, lol.) is gold and the Mimi gloss is shiny and sparkly and a little gold, and surprisingly holds really well and is very vibrant.
I really hope that I don't sound all that superficial in this post, lol (My biggest paranoia is sounding like I'm too superficial and/or I'm committing {sp??} judgement without prior knowledge!).

Another Chapter
The Smoothie Queens
Bahahahaha, the name of the the daily puppy is Putter. Putter. Haha, I like that name for a dog. Putter.
Oh, and Laura? You know what's a really, really funny word? Like, I burst out laughing everytime someone says it?! GECKO!!!! =)
Okay, enough of my randomness. Here's another chapter of Star:
2
“It’s hard to improvise in iambic pentameter.” -Anonymous
“So,” Janette started, then looked at me as if I should know what she was saying. I opened my mouth to speak, but then shut it, because after pondering her question…it wasn’t much of a question.
Janette threw her arms out and let them drop at her sides exasperatedly. “Did you wanna run through all your mistakes tonight with me, or with the frickin’ audience members at the stage door?!”
“I…I…” I’m pretty sure my eyes glazed over as I racked my brain, thinking of all the thing that could’ve possibly gone wrong…that I had caused…
But then I realized--I’m Natalie Wells, and I do not stutter in the presence of my director, and I do not act surprised--even if I am--when I find him in my dressing room. And even if I’ll admit to growing nervous and stuttering in the presence of my lovely parents before, that is different, and they are different, and…
“I know that I went down instead of up in the last verse of ‘Ordinary Fool’, Mom, Dad, Bob, but it’s the second-to-last show, and I’ve never done that before; not once, not in rehearsal, not…”
But then I realized that I was just stuttering some more. So, all in all, I got scolded. Bob didn’t say much until Janette and Marcel left, then he just patted me on the shoulder and said, “Good job tonight, kiddo. Break a leg tomorrow, and try not to cry. Oh, and work on your timing for right after ‘Fat Sam’s Grand Slam Speak Easy’. It’s hasn’t been correct in eight weeks.”
He didn’t say much, but it didn’t take all that much to get hurt. I yanked my wig off (Very unladylike, i.e. hair and makeup people are paramount with me.) and sat down at my vanity. I pouted (Sorta vain at the vanity, here) and poked myself in my left eye unintentionally with my Q-Tip.

Sorry! But I'm back =D
The Smoothie Queens
I know I haven't been on in a while. Sorry about that. My computers being an a** but I think that was just the April Fools worm and the sercurity making it a little slow because they are trying to protect everyone. But now its April 2 and the computers fine. I tried posting the blog yesterday, but I could barely get on at all.
Mia-I love stage makeup! Except in my theater, we've gotta do it ourselves. One time, I was doing my mascara(waterproof) and someone bumped into me. It smeared all over my face. But the good thing is i was able to get it off in time. It took a while - waterproof mascara is hard to get off when you only have water.
I will definately not be buying Marley on DVD. It was a good movie, but way too sad for me to watch again!
I've been learning how to use HTML for Web Page building. I know all the basics and im okay at it. But I'm nowhere close to being able to make a site yet-I've got lots more to learn! I also need to learn CSS. That could take a while...lol. I'll get it eventually.

Marley The Puppy & "Star" Chapter One
The Smoothie Queens
Bahahaha, Marley & Me comes out on DVD today, and our Daily Puppy today is named Marley. I think that's planned, though...
Anyway, here's the first chapter of Star, and our Quote Of The Day is at the beginning of it, and it also works as the chapter title!! lol =)
1
“Expect the unexpected.” -Anonymous
The thing I really hate about mascara is that my eyes are pretty full without it, and it can often be…not that pleasant…with my contacts. Yeah, contacts and mascara do not go hand in hand, especially when one must apply pounds and pounds of mascara. My eyes are brown, so it’s not like I need to bring anything out; if they were hazel, I’d need to bring out the green with my makeup, but since they’re brown and large (I mean, like, full), I don’t really need all that mascara. Just a little, really; the same amount I’d use in everyday life if I wore makeup in everyday life (If I’m being honest, makeup in everyday life bugs the heck out of me, since I wear so much stage makeup day-to-day.).
Anyway, my mascara is taking that tired feeling that is putting pressure on my eyelids, and totally maximizing it. I never wanted this job, if I’m being totally honest with myself, because it’s just so demanding. There are better roles out there; I would know because I’ve had them (This is an eight-week stint as Blousey Brown in Bugsy Malone at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and I am required to sing in my head voice--not my forte, but I pull it off.)! I mean, really; I’m fourteen, I’m short, I’m brunette-I’ve got potential (Minus the “short” thing. I’m really pretty; I’ve unfortunately peaked a little too young with that pretty thing, but then again, I don’t think I’ve ever gone for more than four hours without stage makeup on, so I’ve never really seen myself. And if I am ugly when I’m older, which I pray I won’t be, then I’ll just wear some more makeup. Problem solved.). So now, I’m always tired, all the time. I’ve learned, in my fourteen years, that sometimes, not even a star on a door can help you when you’re tired all the time. Not even thousands upon thousands of standing ovations per night; not when you really hate the show you’re in, and/or what part you got (This is the lead role, and I don’t hate it, but I’m talking about, like, other roles that I’ve gotten that were crappy.).
The star on my door says Natalie Wells, but my real name is Hadley Wellington. It sorta stays the same, but…not really. I get why my parents think Wellington needs to be changed for a stage name, and my Dad used it when he was an actor, but come on, Hadley? I think it’s pretty unique! I just don’t get why my parents named me Hadley if they’re so pushy with the stage thing (My professional debut was playing Balloon Girl, u/s Baby Louise/Baby June in a Gypsy national tour when I saw six!); it’s like maybe, at the last minute, they decided “Hadley” wasn’t gonna work with my career, but by then my birth certificate was already finished, with the name “Hadley Wellington” printed on it.
I tiredly pushed my door open, my hand on the star, and was greeted to a chorus of “Natalie!”
I recognized the three voices before I looked up-my mother, Janette Karen Franco-Wellington (Known as Karen Franks-Wells to my casting directors, coaches, and back when she did regional productions.), my father, Marcel Gavin Wellington (Known as Mark Gavin Wells to the ensemble of theatre people in my life, and yeah, he got a national tour once, but that’s about it.), and director, Bob (Ugh-how many times do people run off intricate names and then end with saying “so-and-so, Bob.”?). Oh, and yeah, my family is so totally French, and I know that “Hadley” isn’t; don’t judge. I expected my Mom to be there, since she always guides me to the stage door and makes sure I don’t get bombarded by audience members (Which would never happen, because I’m so not famous.). I also expected the people from hair and makeup, since I wear a wig of powdery white, curly hair, but they were nowhere to be seen. And my Dad and Bob? Er, not really!

Story Summary
The Smoothie Queens
So I'm writing a major short-story right now, but I'm also writing this crap called Star on the side. Summary:
Hadley Wellington is a star. Rita Willow wants to be a star. Hadley Wellington divides her time between her New York City apartment and her Los Angeles beach house. Rita Willow divides her time between her Dad’s Ecuador apartment and her Mom’s Galapagos beach house. Hadley Wellington has all the access in the world to the prettiest makeup, the lead roles in anything and everything theatrical, and the most loyal admirers. Rita Willow has placed second in Ecuador national dance competitions for three years running.
Though unaware of Hadley’s existence, Hadley is someone Rita aspires to be. What Rita doesn’t know is the way Hadley’s stage parents treat her when she cracks a note, trips over a dance move, or-the deadliest sin of all-doesn’t land a role. Is it worth living in beautiful Ecuador when no one understands you, and you might have one shot to be a star? And is everything you’ve ever wanted worth it when it’s not really everything you’ve dreamed?

Daily Puppy + Project
The Smoothie Queens
Mia, you have my consent- I completely agree Winston is the cutest Daily puppy of March!! I wish he was mine...
I turned in my project today, yeah, not at all fun putting it together. It was a poster. It came out pretty well and I thought I did a good job. Hopefully I will get a good grade on it =)

A Part, A Rehearsal, And An Audition(?)...In Two Days!!
The Smoothie Queens
Ha, so we were in music class this morning, and we were given to script for this Easter play, "The Way Of The Cross", because I go to a Christian school with chapel once a week. And we read through it, and maybe three or four os us put emotion into it (And that doesn't mean anything because we didn't know these characters that well yet! So it was, like, dry but not monotone? lol). ...and then I end up Pilate. Like, what? But it's good! A male part, but...
And then I had King Arthur rehearsal, and I THOUGHT I had a Peter Pan audition tomororw, but my Mom just told me it was off and there would just be another Summer cabaret (Joy! Ecstacy! Bliss!!!!)...

Apologies, Puppies, And The New YouTube!!
The Smoothie Queens
Alright, major science and geography projects getting down to the nitty-gritty this week (First week back after break--so great, whooh...), so I have NOT done my part on this blog in a while! Rawr!
Winston wins cutest daily puppy of March, if I can get Laura's consent...
And the new YouTube (And the new Facebook, for that matter!!) is weird/dumb/grr.
I KNOW I promised that awesome quote form the book I bought on Spring Awakening, but I don't feel like going upstairs and flipping thorugh the pages 'til I find the quote, so...

Philly
The Smoothie Queens
So on Sunday, I went to Philly. It was fun because I got to go to one of my favorite places, the Tiffany Store! I couldn't afford anything though! lol.
Then I had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and walked around the city for the rest of the day!
Today's Quote of the Day:

Twilight DVD (again)
The Smoothie Queens
Twilight came out today =)
So here's what happened at the party:
First we did like a fortune telller thing to see what Twilight character you are. Then we played Twilight base ball. We watched clips of the movie and did some raffles. It doesn't sound like much but it was pretty fun.
I just got the movie today! Tip: If you have an iPod, don't buy the movie on iTunes. If you buy the DVD at Target, it comes with a free iTunes download. So then you get the DVD and the movie and special feature on your iPod!

Tags & Play's History, Yo (What?)!
The Smoothie Queens
Laura, lol, I got tagged three times in two days. Epic tag video coming soon, with FIFTEEN random facts!!
I have an eight-year-old corgi, a three-year-old (lovable but obnoxious) bearded-collie, and an eleven-year-old bearded-collie (In case anyone is wondering, the corgi is a Welsh Corgi Pembrook.), Genevieve, Bonnie, and Bailey. =)
Laura-don't hesitate to put down a Quote Of The Day! :D
I personally think Play is awesome. They were on the scene from '01 to '05 (Did I mention that before? lol :D) and they released 5-6 albums. They were from Sweden, lol but Anais was from France.
(The following is NOT from Wikipedia)
Anais Helena Kretz Lameche was the beta of the group, having major parts in the majority of songs. She was born in the French Alps, but later moved to I think Gothenburg (sp?). Now rumored to be a model, but no one has seen her in a while!
Anna Maria Carolina Sundstrand was a backup girl, blonde, beautiful, little, and the youngest member (Until Janet came along!). She sang very high parts, and was only twelve when the group started out. She does have some major solos, like 'Hand In Hand', 'Is It Love', etc... She is a model with some great solo songs, but no album.
Rosanna Bella Victoria Eriksdotter "Rosie" Munter (LONG NAME!) was the soprano of the group, blonde, and sang backup. She is working on her album with Swedish rapper Kocky.
Janet Ava Leon joined the group when Faye left, and she was only thirteen! She took over as lead-singer and was awesome, despite what angry fans of Faye (And I love Faye, too!) say. She is now on Made In Sweden (See older posts).
Fanny Matilda Dagmar "Faye" Hamlin was the lead-singer until she left to pursue the end of high school and possibly college. She belted like it was no tomorrow, and hit extremely high notes while doing so (See 'Girl's Mind'--the note that everyone remembers!)! She has a little solo work out, but not much, and is a model.
Quote Of The Day:
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
I'm going to NYC tomorrow, lol; thought I'd put that. :D

O.M.C.
The Smoothie Queens
Laura, I was listening to your Search For Elle Woods tribute on BroadwaySpace (http://www.broadwayspace.com/video/legally-blonde-the-search-for), and I get on a new tab for The Smoothie Blog to see if you've added a new Quote Of The Day, and the first thing I see is The Daily Puppy. I was like WHAT? lol It is the cutest thing ever!! If we can keep track of the puppy pictures, we should pick, like, a cutest-of-the-month one or something. =)
And although 13fans.com is no longer existent, 13fans.ning.com is up and running and awesome (Did I mention that before? lol)!!
Okay, now for my major OMC moment. I am a HUGE fan of the group Play, even though they broke up in 2005, lol. So, I "friended" two of the members on Facebook, Faye and Janet, and Janet's been doing a bunch of solo stuff lately. Her album's out in Sweden, I think (They're all Swedish!! Except one was French lol!!), and her fame is jump-starting all over again, lol! Sooo...I was on Facebook this evening, and I saw that Janet Leon was frickin' ONLINE (Time zones, and yet that still works out!)! I was like OMC! So I brought up the "chat" feature and said that she was amazing, and bla, bla, bla, and then right before I logged off I told her how much I liked the video of her performing "Let Go" (her single) live in Stockholm, Sweden. Well, if I had stayed on Facebook for ONE MINUTE {LITERALLY} LONGER, then I would've seen that ON MONDAY, MARCH 16TH, 2009, 6:51 P.M. EASTERN STANDARD TIME, JANET AVA LEON REPLIED TO MY CHAT COMMENT.
She said:
Thank you! :)

Widgets
The Smoothie Queens
Laura, I had to try the 13 widget eighty million times before I got it, but now that the show is closed and the fansite is under a subdomain, I don't see it working any time in the near future, lol sorry.
I recommend the Spring Awakening widget (So you can have the same page as me! lol)--it plays almost all the songs (Like I said before--edited!)and gives you the tour schedule.
Hmm, I am now on the search for widgets.
So now that we're talking about Broadway again (dur-we always are!!), I'll make the Quote Of The Day be from the two musicals we discussed:
Quote Of The Day:
13-The sky goes blue and the sky goes black, and no matter what you do, you can't go back.
Spring Awakening-Those you've known and lost still walk behind you.

Censored Music
The Smoothie Queens
Hello all peeps, especially Laura.
I got home from the movies with a HORRIBLE headache and I was like "Come on? Again? I had the flu all week!".
I'm on my BroadwaySpace right now, just on the "chat" feature to see if anyone's on, and the Spring Awakening wideget on my page (erm-stage) is changing every five seconds, and it's crazy censored! It keeps skipping through different parts of the songs so that nothing's too...detailed.

Followers And Feet
The Smoothie Queens
Hello, dear world of the internet. Do we even have any followers? I have not checked yet..gosh, Laura, it would weird if we spent months blogging to just ourselves (and a little frustrating)!!
So, I've yet to figure out if we can make it so if I post a blog, it says Smoothie Queen Mia, and if you post a blog, it says Smoothie Queen Laura. Right now, it says "Posted by Smoothie Queens Laura & Mia".
I just got back from dance class, like, a half hour ago, and now I'm blogging after showering, and deferring cooking something to eat, lol. My feet hurt like heck, because I was doing a bunch of turnout (Is that one word or two?) exercises, and not a lot of dances because I have a cold (I had the flu all week), and my dance teacher didn't want to "work me too hard".
My YouTube Playlist (Can't Stop Listening, it's called) is on randomize, so I'm listening to Play's "Hand In Hand" (I lied--it just switched to "The Girls Of Spring Awakening--We're Not Gonna Take It".).
Speaking of things being deferred (I learned that word yesterday), "King Arthur" just got it's performance(s) delayed!! I got cast as The Lady Of The Lake, like, two weeks ago, and now we have to perform three weeks after we planned!! Urgh!
I'm starting a new segment: Quote Of The Day!

Laura, I'd like to challenge you to a little thing--or rather, ask you a question, lol. So, you said you bough t13 the musical on iTunes this week--what is your favorite song from the show? I've been leaning towards 'It Can't Be True' lately, but who doesn't love 'What It Means To Be A Friend' (Allie Trimm = FIERCE)?
Well, just for posterity's sake, I'm on SPRING BREAK!!! And in Broadway news, I'll be seeing "Guys And Dolls" in exactly one week--it got terrible reviews, but you'll get a personal play-by-play from Smoothie Queen Mia herself (Erm-myself--and who am I talking to? We don't have any followers!).
Peace!!!

Well I'm pretty bored right now. I'm browsing through YouTube, you know all that stuff. I will be going over a friend's house tomorrow so that'll be fun. On BeoadwaySpace I have been talking to Aaron Simon Gross and Delaney Moro so that's pretty exciting! I bought the 13 album on iTunes. That's pretty much my week.

Queens, Fig Newtons, Editing, And More Editing
QUEENS:
Laura came up with the snazzilicious idea for the two of us to be caleld Smoothie Quuens. So now I am Smoothie Queen Mia and she is Smoothie Queen Laura.
FIG NEWTONS:
I still cannot get my peers (other than my besties) to stop calling me Fig Newton.
EDITING:
Laura was awesome enough to trade with me her May 19th video of "Legally Blonde: The Musical", but now, trying to get a ten-second clip of "Daughter Of Delta Nu" for a fan-video, I've been editing the 1+hour video, and lol, it's driving me off the wall to be editing it so much...better.
AND MORE EDITING:
Right now, I think this whole blog is under MIA BUNNYSLIPPERS48. I'd just like to point out right now that the users/makers of The Smoothie Blog are MIA BUNNYSLIPPERS48 and LAURA LEGALLYBLONDEROXXX.

Intro, Yo!
It's Mia. This is the intro blog for THE SMOOTHIE BLOG on Blogspot. Just an FYI, this blog could very well be deleted, because Laura lost the password on our other blog, and I went ahead and made this blog without her permission! Totally! Soooo...I need to tell Laura about this bloggie-blog-blog (I'm retarded, but I don't need reminders. Haters? Go away. Shoo. Now. Bye-bye.) right away and see if she wants to keep it.
***ABOUT US***
We're teen girls. With an avid love for all things Broadway, Twilight, and SMOOTHIES. We are YouTube friends (http://www.youtube.com/Bunnyslippers48, http://www.youtube.com/legallyblonderoxxx), and don't diss, yo. We have BroadwaySpace accounts (Laura and Mia J.M.), and accounts on 13fans.com (Again, Laura and Mia J.M.). ALSO ALSO ALSO!!! I created a website for fans of A Chorus Line http://www.onthelinesfans.ning.com/, so go check it out! And don't forget to check out Laura's fansite for Shrek the Musical http://www.shrekthemusical.ning.com.
In case I did not mention this in the beginning (Which I totes did--I've never said "totes" before, but I've been dying to!!!!), this is (erm was) Mia.
